OWRL MRT Cup The MRT Cup is an OWRL tradition ever since S2 was introduced and starts between christmas and new year´s eve.
2009/2010 The MRT Cup consists of 6 races over 3 events, all organized in a short time span. The events and tracks are chosen to allow for close, competitive racing in the first real life car to have been introduced in Live For Speed.
Each event consists of qualifying, a sprint race and a main race. The starting grid of the main race will be the finishing order of the sprint race with the top 8 reversed.

Race procedure
Drivers willing to take part can signup at the event page under "upcoming events". Drivers are allowed to join mid-season or signup for a single event. Signup deadline is 3 hours before the start of the event. At signup deadline it is mandatory for a driver to have a lap time on LFS World, either by pb or hotlap. Based on the best times of the participants, the drivers are divided over as many servers as we will need. We aim to have about 24 drivers per server.
The servers open at 19:30 at latest for practice. Each server will have a server admin. A 15 minute qualifying session starts at 20:00 and decides the grid for the sprint race. The sprint race starts directly after the end of the qualifying session. The finishing order of the sprint race decides the starting grid for the main race, but with the top 8 finishers starting in reversed order. Between the sprint and main race drivers will be given a 5 minute break.
OWRL drivers can compare their times with their competitors using our own tracker: Div B Tracker
Time Table: 19:30 - Server open 20:00 - Qualifying (15 minutes) 20:20 - Sprint race (±15 minutes) 20:40 - Main race(±35 minutes)
All times are CET
Layout In case a layout is used, such as at the opening race at Blackwood, the layout will be installed on the training servers before the event and will be available on our site for download. Drivers are allowed to drive a pb at the normal Blackwood GP track. We will use whatever time is on LFS World to divide the drivers over the grids.
Points The champion of the MRT Cup will be the driver who accumulates the most points over three events. Points are awarded in a similar system as in our Div B competition. Drivers who do not finish will get no points, unless they cover at least 80% of the distance in laps. The 1st driver on the next server will be placed directly behind the last driver to get points on the faster server. For the sprint race 33,33% of the points depicted below will be awarded. For the main this is 66,67% for a total of 100%. The Winner on server 2 and 3 will get a bonus of 5 points, the number 2 gets 3 extra points and the 3rd place driver 1. In Qualifying, the bonus for 1st three places are 3 points, 2 pts and 1 point.
